Organic Egypt Foundation team took part in a networking event organized in collaboration with the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA). The gathering centered around a screening of the internationally recognized documentary film Cowspiracy, which explores the environmental impact of large-scale animal production and raises critical questions about sustainability and food systems worldwide. Additionally, the event provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge sharing and dialogue. After watching the documentary, participants engaged in a discussion about the film’s theme and how it can be reflected on Egypt’s agricultural sector. Topics such as sustainable farming practices, the importance of organic agriculture, and the role of local communities in reducing environmental impact were highlighted.

As part of the Women’s Empowerment in Rural Egypt Project, a workshop was held under the title “Family Management Skills.” The workshop was designed to enhance women’s administrative and life skills, equipping them with the tools to make more effective and confident decisions within their households. Additionally, it focused on practical approaches to everyday family management, including budgeting, time organization, communication, and problem-solving. By learning how to manage household resources more efficiently, participants gained insights into balancing family responsibilities with personal growth and community engagement. Overall, the workshop was successful and the feedback of participants indicated that the topic was beneficial for them!

On Tuesday, 26th of August 2025, a graduation ceremony took place to celebrate the first group of young women who successfully completed the three-month training program under the Women’s Empowerment in Rural Egypt Project. The event marked a significant milestone, recognizing their achievements across the five professions they had been trained in: 1) cosmetics & cleaning, 2) poultry production, 3) sewing, 4) childcare, and 5) cooking. During the ceremony, the young women proudly received Certificates of Appreciation in acknowledgment of their hard work, dedication, and the skills they acquired throughout the training. The event also featured a special video presentation, highlighting their inspiring success stories and showcasing their active participation during the past three months. Additionally, a product fair was held to allow the young women to showcase and sell the products they had learned to produce during their training. This fair provided them with an opportunity to meet different stakeholders, including companies that attended to offer potential job opportunities for the young women, making the event both a celebration and a gateway to future possibilities.
