In September, Organic Egypt Foundation conducted a two-day online training on Soil Analysis and Interpretation. The training aimed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to assess soil quality and understand its impact on crop productivity and sustainable land management. The sessions covered key topics such as methods of soil sampling, interpreting laboratory results, and linking soil health indicators to practical on-farm decisions. The training gathered participants from different backgrounds—including agriculture graduates, independent farmers, and individuals interested in ecological practices which created a diverse and interactive learning environment.

Organic Egypt Foundation organized a practical and interactive workshop that brought together a group of farmers to exchange knowledge and experiences on agroecological farming methods. The workshop created an open space for dialogue, where participants shared their own practices and challenges, and learned new techniques from both experts and peers. The session focused particularly on managing soil fertility and controlling pests and diseases through natural and sustainable approaches, emphasizing methods that reduce reliance on chemical inputs. Farmers were introduced to practical tools and strategies that help maintain soil and crop health, while also supporting long-term sustainable production systems. The interactive format encouraged collaboration among participants, building stronger networks of farmers committed to agroecology and sustainability.

Organic Egypt Foundation team participated with its partner association EBDA in celebrating the cotton harvest festival with its member farms in Fayoum governorate. Over 100 people with different backgrounds came together like processing companies, students, women, and children, to share the harvesting experience and learn about sustainable farming practices. Additionally, the festival involved traditional music and raising awareness about the importance of cultivating organic crops! The farmers had the chance to share their experience about the result of increasing productivity over the years after adopting the biodynamic farming method. Overall, the festival was enjoyable and very encouraging for farmers to convert to sustainable agricultur practices.

Sahara has been an annual event for over three decades; this year marks the 37th Edition of the Sahara Exhibition, the largest agricultural, animal production, and aquaculture exhibition in the MENA region. Organic Egypt Foundation, together with its partner EBDA, participated throughout the three days of the exhibition. The team engaged in a variety of sessions covering key topics such as organic and sustainable agriculture practices, women empowerment in farming, and future trends in food security. In addition, several productive side meetings were held with different stakeholders to strengthen networks and explore new collaboration opportunities in the agricultural sector. Overall, the participation in Sahara provided valuable insights and opportunities for Organic Egypt to expand its presence among students, consultants, and industry professionals in the agricultural field.

Organic Egypt Foundation is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute (AEnRI). This partnership establishes a framework for collaboration in research, knowledge exchange, and the development of innovative solutions that advance sustainable and organic agriculture in Egypt. Through this cooperation, both institutions aim to empower farmers, strengthen agricultural engineering, and promote environmentally friendly practices that contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future.

As part of the Women’s Empowerment in Rural Egypt project, the profiling trainers carried out the second cycle of profiling, reaching up to 100 women from rural communities across different age groups. This cycle is conducted in two rounds to give the profilers sufficient time to observe the interests and skills of the women and select the profession best aligned with their skills and aspirations. The one-week profiling training includes practical exercises in five vocational professions (sewing, childcare, cooking, production of cosmetics and cleaning materials, and poultry production). These exercises help assess and categorize the participants’ skills and aptitudes in each field. Following the profiling process, 50 women will be selected and assigned to one of the professions. They will then receive specialized training to strengthen their technical skills and knowledge, ultimately preparing them for entry into the labor market.
