Participants engaged in deep discussions across three primary areas, 1) agroecological soil fertility management, 2) agroecological crop pest management, and 3) agroecological crop disease management. Overall, the workshop concluded with a shared vision to develop innovative and sustainable agroecological practices that can enhance food security and promote environmental conservation in Egypt.

Workshop on Organic Farming at Sakha Horticultural Research Station
As part of our ongoing mission to promote sustainable agriculture, a team member from Organic Egypt Foundation led a one-day workshop at the Sakha Horticultural Research Station in Kafr Elsheikh on Sunday, July 13th. The session brought together a group of agricultural researchers to discuss the vital role organic farming in building more resilient, sustainable food systems—especially in the cultivation of medicinal plants. Additionally, the workshop covered practical and research-based approaches to organic farming, linking them to global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while also addressing real-life challenges on the ground. It was a great opportunity to collaborate with governmental organizations and NGOs and explore potential partnerships for implementing organic farming practices on a larger scale. Overall, the workshop was a successful step for networking and knowledge sharing among stakeholders in the sustainable agriculture sector.
