Organic Egypt conducted a three-day training for the partner association EBDA on Agricultural Marketing. On the first day, the lecturer focused on the principles of agricultural marketing and the application of marketing strategies in the organic farming sector. Additionally, the training demonstrated practical activities for participants to apply what they learned in real-life scenarios. The second day covered topics such as market analysis, consumer behavior, and branding techniques specific to organic products; it also addressed value chain processes and mapping out distribution channels. The final day of the training included a hands-on workshop where participants were able to develop their own marketing plans tailored to their organization’s needs. Overall, the training provided a comprehensive understanding of agricultural marketing in the organic sector and equipped the engineers with practical tools to understand the different marketing strategies and consult their farmers in the best possible way.

Organic Egypt team translated the “Introductory Guide to Demeter Biodynamic Principles & Standards” into Arabic in order to make it easier for Arabic-speaking farmers and communities to understand and implement biodynamic farming practices. The guide aims to support the global growth of the biodynamic movement and Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS). The guide introduces farmers and producers to the principles and practices of biodynamic agriculture, providing an overview of the international biodynamic movement’s standards for Demeter certification. It serves as a training tool that evaluates these standards within diverse socio-cultural contexts.

Organic Egypt, in cooperation with RDNA Food Store, is producing recipe videos to raise awareness about natural, local, and organic food. This November, RDNA focused on two recipes featuring seafood products; the first recipe was “fried calamari”, an easy to make crispy, golden, and magic plate. The second recipe featured “salmon Bruschetta”, a delicious and healthy option for seafood lovers. Both recipes showcase the versatility and flavor of organic seafood, encouraging viewers to incorporate more sustainable ingredients into their diets. By promoting these recipes, Organic Egypt and RDNA Food Store hope to inspire more people to choose organic and sustainable options for their meals.

Organic Egypt co-organised a series of medical technology seminars in November under the theme “New Developments in Medical Technology from Germany”. The Seminars are funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and are implemented by the Educational Institute of the Bavarian Economy (bbw gGmbH). The seminar included four Bavarian companies traveling to Egypt and conducting seminars in three different locations, showcasing their latest innovations in medical technology. The first seminar was held at the medical center at SEKEM Farm in Sharqia Governorate, followed by the second at the Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development in Cairo, and the third at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, & Maritime Transport in Alexandria.

Together, these seminars attracted around 200 participants, offering a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking between Egyptian and German professionals in the medical technology field. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with the representatives of the four Bavarian companies, exchanging knowledge and making business contacts. The events fostered collaboration, highlighting the potential for future partnerships and advancements in the sector.

Organic Egypt team organized a successful fundraising event offering a selection of delicious and healthy organic treats. The event featured cookies, pancakes, and sweet potato dishes, all made with organic ingredients. The aim was to promote healthy, sustainable eating while raising funds to support the foundation’s mission. Attendees enjoyed the flavorful, nutritious options while learning more about Organic Egypt’s initiatives to support organic farming and environmental sustainability. The event highlighted the foundation’s commitment to promoting organic food and raising awareness about the benefits of living a more eco-conscious lifestyle.

Organic Egypt team actively participated in the summit, engaging in meaningful conversations with key stakeholders, including representatives from the AUC Entrepreneur Center, Hand in Hand, and other companies. During these discussions, Organic Egypt showcased its activities, with particular emphasis on its unique excursions to organic farms around Cairo. These activities captured the interest of several attendees, notably Hand in Hand, whose representative expressed enthusiasm about the potential synergies between their initiatives and Organic Egypt’s work. This interaction opened up new avenues for potential collaboration and funding opportunities, making the summit a significant platform for Organic Egypt to strengthen its network and explore growth possibilities.
