TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS FOR OUR STAKEHOLDERS
Training on Organic Pest Management
Organic Egypt held the third session of its two-day online training on organic pest management. On the first day, the lecturer highlighted the importance of using natural predators and biopesticides for pest control, while also covering the benefits of crop rotation and companion planting as effective strategies to prevent pest infestations. The second day focused on practical demonstrations, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience with these methods in the field. Participants of the training varied from agriculture professionals, students, engineers and sustainability enthusiasts, who brought diverse perspectives to the sessions. This training equipped participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to apply and implement what they learned in their work or studies effectively.

ToT in Profiling for the project partners
In the framework of the project “Women’s Empowerment in Rural Egypt”, the project team organized a week-long training focused on profiling. The project aims to address the challenges faced by rural women in Egypt, for that, one main pillar of the project is to train 1500 women from rural areas in Sharqia to strengthen their career opportunities and participation in the labor market. The first step of this training program is to conduct a profiling, where the women and girls will be tested to evaluate their capabilities, interests, and potential, helping identify areas for personal and career development. Therefore, a profiling ToT was conducted where various techniques and tools for effective profiling were introduced. The training offered a balanced mix of theoretical insights and hands-on activities, ensuring that everyone walked away with a comprehensive understanding of profiling and its importance in various professional contexts. At the last day of the training participants engaged in a practical day applying the knowledge they have learned with students. By the end of the week, participants felt more confident and well-equipped to apply their new knowledge to their respective fields.
